Colin - It's nice to watch you peck away at this making it better. The pto squeal is likely the bearing. Now that you have the pto off, real easy to replace the bearing. Probably about $15 from NAPA. I know you don't plan on using the front pto right now, but if nothing else it's nice to keep the tractor complete. And who knows, maybe with it ready to go you might enjoy using it on the grass here and there.cholloway wrote:Removed the front PTO yesterday for cleaning and adjusting. I may just leave it off since I'll never use this tractor to cut grass. Sure makes the engine sound better.
If it works OK it might be good to have a spare for the rear PTO.
Next will be to chase down a small hydraulic fluid leak somewhere at the back.
