gota love kids

Post by vince_o »

Well I got to spend time with the boys tonight as theyve been gone since last tuesday. So Danny and I are sitting and bsing and he comes with off the wall christmas gift for me.

Seems that Danny wants to get me this spicial chair that will rub your back while your watching TV. Then he did the selling point. Dad, in the most serious look and voice Ive seen yet, it will also make fat people like you get skinny like me!

It was all I could do not to bust a gut! Oh I think Danny watched a little too much tv at Grandmas house last week!

My 6yr. old was at the grocery store tonight, with me. The checkout lady asked him what Santa was bringing him for CHRISTMAS,
he said lots of trains. She asked if he was going to leave out milk and cookies for Santa, CHRISTMAS eve? TYLER said yes, he wanted to leave Santa a heart shaped cookie so he would know how much he loved him. In the truck on the way home TYLER asked: Will Santa bring me more trains if he knows I love him more?
YES!!! You gota love kids!

We have to leave out milk, cookies, and a double shot of American Honey around here, Santa likes to warm up that big belly for the long, cold ride!

John

When I was up there last week I couldnt get over how much work was there. In just a few months it like trippled in around the camp. It has me tinking real hard about looking into moving back up. Loos like there will be work for a long time too. Also there seems to be more Texas plates in Western pa than deer! Theres alot of deer too! I looked at that vain of shale that everyone is drilling and its big for sure!

Vince,
They are looking for drivers, roustabouts ans contractors. All kinds of equipment needs to be moved, and if you had the guts (which I did not), buy a couple tri-axle water trucks. They need water big time.
When I was in Mississippi a couple weeks ago an outfit we went to said they just sent one of their drilling rigs to PA.
They say there's 30 years of work.

I was in Mansfield, PA all week.
Two hotels, all full. The parking lot spaces either have a truck in them or mud from where one sat.
We don't stop playing because we grow old....

Scott
Why buy them? I wouldnt want the head ache of owning a truck.

I know that the leases are paying well so there has to be something worth paying for. If I moved back up Id have to live in the green or Indina co areas. Maybe Somerset area too. Its just going back to all the high taxes and the cold, I cant deal with. I guess I say the same about the heat here, John you know all about it, just something about the cold I cant take.

Had a Texan OTR driver about 30 years ago tell me back then Texas was supposed to be the biggest state --- Then he added" no one ever came up here and stomped PA flat."

Vince from what I gather just pick a well insulated truck Big Tank 112" sleeper with all the bells and whistles. sounds like they get this thing going ya may be sleeping in it.
I guess it will take half of lake Erie for one job

Clue us in Scott.
