Just thinking out loud here, but what if...
What if instead of grouping IH away from CCC, different types had their own topic. 1) Originals, 7X/1XX; 2) Quietlines; 3) 82 series and Cyclops; 4) 2000/3000 series, each with their own topic. Maybe that is too many, but as a follower of 82 series and Cyclops, I find myself jumping back and forth between the IH and CCC section.
This is only because I don't consider the CCC machines to be different from the IH 82 series. I look at it like the 82 series' parents died, and they got sent to the CCC orphanage to be raised. That doesn't make them bad kids, they just lost their parents...
As for Cyclops, they are just 82 series in bad clothes, but still the same good tractor underneath, with some improvements (and some negatives). They would fit nicely with the 82 series as a topic.
Just an out loud thought, please don't punish me! Just a suggestion; I am plenty happy to have it all back like it was.
Scott C., thanks again!
Take care, Tom

Re: Suggestions?
That would be interesting, but I'd say also likely to cause confusion among new members and there will be tons of threads in the wrong section. That already happens with just two or three different classifications.

Re: Suggestions?
No suggestions are bad suggestions but I don't think at this time we want a model specific forum.
Who knows where it will go as we evolve.

Re: Suggestions?
It may be helpful to have a LT forum somewhere. Do we want group all post-Cyclops cubs in with the CCC tractors or should the 2xxx/3xxx series have a different play ground?

Re: Model Specific topics
How about a section for each era?
something like
IH built tractors. Originals through MTD purchase.
CCC/early MTD up to the end of the Cyclops.
Current 1000.2000.3000 step through tractors.
Cubs, Low Boys or 154, 184. 185
Compact tractors like the current Yanmars
