Question about PM's

Post by Bill Decker »

I have gotten a private message on a tractor in the FS section, but according to the site "I am not authorized to send/read private messages". How does one go about getting thhis figured out?

Dave,
Could you guys give some feedback on why this feature isn't enabled? It would be nice to have but it's not a show stopper for me, I was just wondering why, that's all...

The mesage Bill is talking about was from me.
I didn't sent a PM but clicked on send an E-mail to him from his profile. I had a question about the CC he had listed in the For Sale section. I wanted to know where he is located.
I then recieved a copy via my E-mail of what I thought was being sent to Bill. So I don't know what happened on his end.
The E-mail system seamed just like what they use over at the SmokStak site. You click on send an E-mail in the Profile and it sends it on to them with your E-mail address and your message. If the receipiant chooses they can E-mail you directly then or if they wish to keep their E-mail address private may reply thru the site.
I thought I did everything correct but evidently not. :?:

David I am sure you did nothing wrong they are just trying to get things setup. That feature was to be disabled and they are most likely banging there heads trying to figure out how it slipped through the system. Everybody is learning the system and trying to get the forum tweaked where they want it.

OK,
I enabled the PM's.
Just so you all know, we had problems in the past with PM's and we'll leave it at that.

Anyone found abusing the PM's will find their IP banned.

They are a great tool and can be very helpful in the classified section.
Please report any abuses to the moderators, Thank you.
