1782 Broken implement lift arm
So I was trying to make some room and move the frozen piles of snow along the edge of the driveway today and broke the implement lift arm for the plow.
I need to find one of these before the snowstorm that's forecast this coming Wednesday.
It kinda sucks, I can't start looking until Monday when everything is open, guess I'll be shoveling, uguh...

Mr. Weaver,
Do you have anything like that in your vast pile of spare parts? I am looking for the correct lift arm you mentioned on the cub parts website but so far I haven't found anything like it.

I've been looking everywhere, does anyone have a picture and part number of what the correct bracket looks like?

Ray,
I think I have one, check back this afternoon.
BTW storm now may be shifting more coastal, where you are might not see much from the storm.

Ray,
I have the original lift arm, the part number is 719-3093. Will that work?

Steve and Paul,
Thanks for the research but I think that's the frame for a 782, not a 1782 cyclops super. Or am I missing something?

Paul,
Do you have the dimensions of that arm? Also, I see it has a hole at the end instead of a pin to put the lift rod over. How does the rod attach to the arm?

Re: 1782 Broken implement lift arm
The rectangle hole 1 1/2 X 1", the round hole 5/8"
You could secure a bolt through the hole and place the lift rod onto the bolt.

Re: 1782 Broken implement lift arm
Ok.
That's making me feel a little bit better, it looks similar to the one I have (minus being broken). From the looks of that measurement I can assume it's about 5 inches from the center of the rod hole to the top inside corner of the cutout for the rockshaft?
The one I broke that's apparently for lifting a thrower is a little over 6 inches for those dimensions.

Re: 1782 Broken implement lift arm
Willy,
Which blade do you have?
If it's a 54" with a frame like this then you need a lift arm like you have. That one works by pushing on the bottom link just like the blower.

According to the attachment guide, for super garden tractors with serial #'s 821,101 and higher use bracket 603-0027, which is a updated number for the same one Ray Williams posted......Joe

Re: 1782 Broken implement lift arm
Steve,
Mine is a 54" also, it's similar to that frame with some subtle differences. The plow has a part number of 701-407 on it, with a serial number of 493163, or 183, it's a little messed up and hard to read near the end.

Re: 1782 Broken implement lift arm
Joe,
I didn't realize the adapter would be listed in the implement book, I just went out to the garage because I have that same guide that shows the part numbers, etc.
Thanks to everyone who assisted with input, I'm going to see if I can find one of these things locally, and also as many of you have suggested I'll get this one welded...
Thanks,
-Ray

Re: 1782 Broken implement lift arm
Have any luck finding one Ray? I know that my local dealer has a couple but I also know that they will only leave with a complete blower attached to them....
I might just have to pay him a visit anyway. Need to see what he has in stock for spare parts for a different project.

Steve,
No luck whatsoever
I've called everyone I can think of to find one. Tell your local dealer I'd be glad to take an implement lift arm with a blower attached for the 100.00 the lift arm costs =)

Re: 1782 Broken implement lift arm
My dealer (http://www.messicks.com) shows one in stock for $93.05.
Not hugely better, but at least you know that the ebay price is not totally out of line. If Messicks really still has one, they have been good to deal with. They have online ordering so you can reserve the last one for yourself. If they are out, they will probably call you, or you can call to check on the order after they open (probably late...) tomorrow. Good luck.
On edit: Even though they are somewhat close to me, I get everything delivered. They get things boxed up and out the door quick.
