1572 DIESEL DASH

Post by dag1450 »

My 1572 dash is cracked where the hood rests.I saw on parts tree that a dash is still available for the 2072. It looks like a little work with a drill that it might be an exact replacement. If any one has done this please let me know. Maybe i should have started with "does anyone know of a nice dash for 1572" thats under a $100 ! thanks Dave

yes that will work all you need is a hole saw. the diesel emblem is glued to your old dash and can be swapped

Have done this several times. The 882 has the diesel throttle nomenclature glued to the dash but none o fmy 1572's has anything different than the 1872/2072 dash.
Yep....Need the correct size hole saw...

Thanks guys for the conformation on that dash.I was looking at an online parts store "IHCCW.com" under "dash tins and dashes" and the diesel dash you can still see a letter or two around the temp gauge hole . Maybe thats all they did on the prodution line as well, not sure. now i'm just waiting on Ray to get in some nice dashes. ;)
