Had one of the 1512's out last nite and once it got heated up it started to not run good. Kept wanting to stall and would eventually stall. It would start right back up again and I try to move and same thing. Did this for awhile and finally I had to tow it to the garage. I let it cool for a couple hours and she fired right up again and ran good so I just put it back in the garage.
Anyone have any ideas??

try some type of fuel conditioner it sounds like you got either water or a fungus in it or maybe a cloged filter

Does it have an electric shutoff valve?

There is no electric shutoff on these. If you've never replaced both fuel filters and cleaned the tank and shutoff valve screen, now is the time. You also should be using an additive like Power Service.

Re: 1512 Diesel Problems!
Mine was starting to do something similiar. It would on occasion act as if I just suddenly throttled down and shut it off. It ended up being the fuel pump. I would have had to give my first born to cub cadet for a new one but ended up getting one direct from kubota for a fraction. I think your problem sounds more like what Matt mentioned.

Could also need new fuel lines. I have replaced them on my diesel several times over the years due to a similar problem.
My cub manual mentions replacing them every 2 years.

Time to pull Fuel tank, clean & flush, maybe fuel lines, filters, tank shutoffs/screens. You'd be surprised all the crud that can accumulate in there.

Paul
I just serviced my neighbors 45 hp bota. The fuel filter housing was thick with black tar. Tim asked how dose it get in there? And the book says at 400 hrs. I told him Id change it out at 250 and stop fueling it in a dust bowl, Also that 4.50 filter will save you a lot of money over the years. Took 10 min to change and clean the housing.
I just changed my fuel lines and washed the tank, cause mine did the same thing. Much more power now.
