Over the past few months I made some improvements to my 2072.
The rearend was cracked in the front at the mounting bracket. I replaced the whole rear end with a nice solid one and also added the plate on the back to stiffen everything up. Thanks to Ray Weaver for the parts. I figure it should last me for a long time.
I also added a new high back seat. I could cry over the price of these, but I do like the way they sit.
I also added some extra large seat pan bumpers. I found these online and I am suprised at the difference they made. They are a soft rubber and give a little extra cushion.
I placed some Firestone ag tires on the rear and some Vredestien 5 ribs on the front.
I also got some new Cub Cadet emblems for the hood too.
Next up are some wheel wieghts as soon as I get them painted.

Wow, really looks great with big tires new seat and other details. Is that the tractor i sold u last spring ? If so how is the paint holding up ? U are doing a great job taking it to the next level ! Dave

Yes this is, was? your tractor.
I have not had any issues with the paint, however it has mostly been in my barn with a blanket over it.
I still need to get the deck back together. I want to put a coat of Slip-Plate on the bottom in the spring before I use it.
I have to say this has been the quickest starting tractor that I have owned. At times, in the summer when the weather was warm, I don't think the engine made a full revolution and it was running.

Well thats nice to hear about the starting, my 2072 worker is a bear to start anymore in this cold weather. I think there r a few issues ; starter throws in then back out, battery not that great, then the one i'm not sure about , it sounds like when it does start ( after many trys) it is running on one cylinder for about 5 seconds or so. This is NOT a good feeling
