1641 snow plow lift rod
I'm helping a fellow get set up with a snow plow for his 1641 I know he needs the bracket that has gone NLA but can be found after market. Once mounted how long is the lift rod required for this application? Is there any bends in it? I know things get more complicated during the 82 series and i'm not to familiar with the cyclops. Thanks guys!

Re: 1641 snow plow lift rod
I use a standard lift rod for a WF on my 782. Lift rod is just 5/8 rod I think?
Cub Cadet, John Deere, New Holland, bobcat, Chevrolet, and Harley Davidson just a few brands I'm proud to own.

Joe - If he needs the newer bracket that bolts through the rockshaft with the two bolts that go through it... It is still available from Cub, part # 603-0027, about $100. (On edit: This is the snowblower only bracket for GT's. See later post for blade bracket discussion.)

Re: 1641 snow plow lift rod
Ray is right, I have Supers on the brain, as they would use the push bracket for both the snowblower and blade... The bracket number I gave is for the snowblower on the GT as well, but you will need the different bracket that is shown as NLA (719-3093) which is used together with a sheet metal bracket that is still available (703-2128-4021). The easiest way to see it is to look up the parts for "316" (blade attaching kit) and look at the IPL. Here it is: http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=cub_ ... 0051600001
If Ray has them, that is good, and perhaps Aaron at Xtreme Motorworks. Aaron does have a reproduction of the bracket number I gave, but I didn't see the one for the GT blade. I actually need the snowblower bracket, but I am torn between factory original or Aaron's which is probably better because it is steel and not cast. Ken, when you needed yours I think Cub was out of stock, but they show them available now.
The IPL for 316 also shows that the lift rod is still available for about $40 (747-3165-0498), or Ray might have a pile of them.
