I have been talking to a guy about a cub diesel. He said it has a few problems. I haven't looked at it yet but here is what he sent to me last.
It needs exhaust manifold gasket and bolts,a thermostat, may need raditator cleaned, the heat light would come on,the sensor maybe bad but,the main thing is when in real tall grass it would leave a streak. It does fine if you keep your yard cut regular.
I have never owned a diesel but want one. Any advice?

Re: diesel cub
Sounds like a 1782 SGT. If the price is right, get it. Those are an easy fix. That model, if it is a 1782, overheat more so then the others. Good luck!....need me to go look at it?

Re: diesel cub
Every 1782 I have had or been around will over heat. Flushed, changed thermostat, blew out radiator, run without side panels and it still overheated.
The radiator is in the wrong place!
I still have one that I have tried for years to sell. Am now going to part it out!
Tired of tire kickers.
