which front axle?
I want to put 5 bolt rims on the front of my cub 149. I'd like for the tractor to sit level. What axle, parts will I need to accomplish this?

Re: which front axle?
I saw this adapter on the extreme motor works website, you can use existing axle and just cut off spindles and weld these on.

Re: which front axle?
Hi I converted the original spindles on my 149 to a 4 bolt hub it worked out very well. I drilled out the old axles from behind with a 1" carbide tipped hole saw and welded in the new axles.I bought the axle and hubs from surplus center 4 bolt hubs are $21.00 each and 5 bolt hubs are $25.00 each the axles are $7.25 each.Hope this helps Jim Kline

If you are building a loader, the Bolens qt17 qt19 front axle is very very heavy, and the support is a bolt in deal. I just happen to have one for sale if interested!!!
Doesn't solve the 5 bolt hub issue, but does make for a very wide, solid base.
