Grand slam of Supers

Post by drcjv »

I finally completed my Grand slam of Supers. Just picked up a nice 2072 tonight. This completes the my grand slam 1572,1772,1872and 2072. Like most siblings they are very similar but very different. The 1572 is the worker of the bunch with a rear PTO and 3 pnt. This tractor is a beast ready for work anytime. The 1872 with 3 pnt is my trailer Queen about as close to show room as you can get on one of these tractors, only comes out for shows. The 1772 with 3pnt does a little work but not too much comes out for plow day and shows his little brother how it's done. It is too early to say where the 2072 will fit in but spring is coming so I am sure I will find out soon. Now it's time to start on the next slam of plastic nose Supers.

Charles - That is way cool! When I found my second 2182 I was only a little bummed because it would have been cool to get a Command powered Super as well, and have more variety. You've got all the flavors covered with the "72" series there!
1872, 46", 50C decks, Haban dozer blade, 450 snow blower
2182-1, Kwik-Way Loader, 3-pt & rear pto, 442 tiller
2182-2, 54" deck, 551 snow blower
Past tractors:  1541, 2135

I try not to use this word to often. But that is a "awesome" collection of supers.

Are you only interested in supers?Getting all the little brothers would be cool too?I have thought about doing that. But i'm into the supers now too.

Thanks for sharing all the pictures

Charles...that seems to b a problem for most people......out of room. Thats a good thing for me.....cause i would b out of money if i had more room  Im going to guess.....is this the 2072 from the guy in Nazareth. He started pretty high.....then i saw he did lower it to what seemed like a pretty fair deal. U probably wont show it off till its all done....right? Dave

Yes it is from Nazerath. Brian was a very nice guy and easy to deal with very appreciative for all his help loading. I paid more than I usually would but this was not for resale I wanted for myself. This morning I broke it all down for my usual redo. This is a really nice machine, Never stored outside and well maintained. Goal is to get spiffed up and ready to bring to PA plow day in April along with the three other siblings. As soon as I get it done I will get some pics up. Dave very close to you Im in Lansdale Let me know if you ever need any Hardware nuts, bolts ect... My wife and own a hardware store there.

It came with two hour meters one with 600 and some and a new one installed with under 50 The story is it was broke for one season then replaced. No real way to know but looking at everything 700 seems believable.

Out of the 20 or so supers I have owned I would say 80% did not have either the spring or the cable was broke on the indicator.

Looks real nice. I like the little tool box for who knows what. I might try one of those hydro handle extentions..... it should help me to sit up a little straighter. Thanks for the update. Dave

You would be amazed at how much you can fit in that tool box. The extention is a must for me my back connot take the hunching over to reach the lever.
