3240 added to the Collection

Post by wham »

Picked this one up Saturday Morning up near the TN state line. Y'all forgive the "green" in the picture, as my 3 year old nephew says, "Uncle Tim, that's Casssssssssssshhhh MONEY!". I think the 3240 may hang around for awhile, my wife rode it around the yard and cut with it LOL.

Tim,

Nice find! Would love to find a good anniversary model. I love that people are catching on to the 3000 series tractors. Once you get on one, it's hard to get off. Does that one have more than one hydraulic valve?

And your nephew is right. That green turns to gold really quick$$$$!!!!

Nice find Tim! Vinny....what makes the 3000's so hard to get off? Is it the higher steering wheel u cant lift your leg over.....or is it the foot controls that cause your arthritis to flare. Just wondering? Dave

I think I am getting addicted to this thing (3240) hahahaha!!!!!!!!!! Power steering and horsepower to spare plus the big ol deck kinda makes that thing nice to cut with........... eventhough it does feel like riding around in the yard in your pick-up truck with a mower deck on it!Not gonna do like BB and try to buy em all up though. Hehehe besides his "twin brother" Vince might get jealous.

Dave...You just zip it!!! Don't you have a 1650 to be working on? And yes, old Arthur(itis) makes it hard to get off of anything anymore!!! I have to have a little medication to make it all better!

Tim, I told my friend (yes, Dave I have one) who got a 3206 from me last summer that it's like riding a la-z-boy with a mower deck.

I compared it to a Cadillac. Power Steering that is effortless, big comfy seat, cup holder, quiet operation, and it rides well.

Tim, I want dibbs if you decide to sell! :)

Yep, gonna either do a rebuild or maybe replace the engine if I run across the correct replacement. I don't think this one needs much though it's smoking pretty bad and fouling the left plug pretty bad, the right is burning clean? But man this thing is nice to cut with!!! Makes me ALMOST want to sell my Z-Force hehehe.
