1772 updates
I finally got around to getting some work done on my 1772 with some time off from work. I dropped the differential and swapped out the housing since the one in it was broken as most are. While putting it back together, I mounted the http://www.rueggmfg.com cat 0 3 pt hitch.
I also added an inline coolant heater for the winter time. I was able to fit it in the lower radiator hose just in front of the engine. The power cord was long enough to route along the radiator and come out the front of the grill for ease of plugging it in.

Re: 1772 updates
The other thing I was able to get done was clean up and repaint the exhaust and add an extension on. Definitely a lot better than being all rusty like it was before! All of the fluids and filters have been changed as well as both of the belts. Only a couple of things left to do. I have a pair of V61's to put on it, needs a relief valve changed due to a leaking one and needs new O-rings on the hydraulic cylinder, then it should be ready for plenty of hours of service!
Unfortunately, it's not letting me download my pics...I'll have to figure that out!!

Steve - The pic problem appears to be forum wide, it is not letting me post pics in new or old topics. Dave C is aware and it is being worked on.
Thanks, Tom
Thanks, Tom

Re: 1772 updates
So to follow up on my post from the 3240 thread, here's a couple of goodies for the 1772. Since getting the snowblower for the 3240, obviously need to have a plow on something, so picked up this power angle Haban. All in all, it's in great shape overall, just need to fabricate a lift rod for it.
In addition, I picked up this 12" Cat 0 Brinly plow, minus the A-frame. It will get torn down, cleaned up and repainted, new hardware and obviously, I need to find an A-frame! Anyone got one out there???

Nice blade and plow. Do you have the mounting plates on the tractor?

Re: 1772 updates
Finally got around to getting the Haban snow blade on the 1772. I didn't have the correct lift rod for the Haban, but when I was at Rich Patton's, he let me make an outline of the lift bar he had for one sitting there so I could see what I could get together for mine. I need to get better pics of it, but the lift bar I have actually screws together in the center, so it's actually adjustable. I had to make a bushing to go inside either end to get the correct diameter for the pin on the tractor and the blade. All in all, it worked out pretty good. Not sure what this lift bar originally went to, but it goes to a Haban blade now! Also managed to get the tires filled and added 81 lbs of wheel weights to each side....shouldn't have any traction problems!

Re: 1772 updates
After the fire house parking lot was cleared by a pick up with a plow, I got the 1772 out to do the clean up work around the cars that were parked there and finish up the parking area once everyone had moved. This thing did a fantastic job! Still need to replace the O-rings on the lines to the hydraulic lift cylinder, but otherwise performed flawlessly!!!

Re: 1772 updates
Dave those are Carlisle Tru-Powers. I've gotten to the point I won't buy anything but Carlisles anymore, with the exception of V61s to go on the front.
Tom, don't we always take on more work???? It's really about the seat time, not helping anyone else!!!

Re: 1772 updates
well the 4 ply are rated at 1780lbs per tire... you would be hard pressed to get a super loaded that heavy not even counting theres 2 of those plus 2 fronts.... 8ply may be overkill?

Re: 1772 updates
Dave, I know what you mean about the price....tires are just too darn expensive!! These are 4 ply and I've had them awhile. They were originally on my 982 and I used a loader with it, never had a problem with them at all. 8 ply is overkill in my book, I'm not sure you could overwork a Super to that degree. The other advantage to them is that they are a true 26x12x12, a lot of the off brand tires don't measure up, and I've even noticed that with the smaller sizes as well.
