Pivot Bar Adjustment

Post by ReicheP »

I'm reading the 1811 Owners Manual and I see reference to checking and adjusting the Pivot Bar Adjustment Bolts.

I haven't clue what this adjustment is for, suggestions?

I think it's just to take up or tightin fore and aft movement on the front axle. Not too easy to get in there...especially w mule and deck on. Good luck

Thanks, any idea when this "adjustment" was started on Cubs?

These adjusters are in front of the axle and right behind the mule drive mount. Looks like a good addition to the tractor.

IIRC those were added around 1987 or so. I had a 1986 model 1811 built late in the year and it did not have the adjusters.
