New to me.....3225 FEL!!!
Well I've gone and joined two new clubs. The 3000 series club and the FEL club.
I have been searching for a loader for about the last six months. I want one to help help with landscaping the property that my wife and I are building a new home on.
So I found this. 3225 with a Kwik-Way loader. The tractor has 560 hours on it. It runs nice and the loader works smoothly and quickly. It has some missing powder coat and some surface rust of the foot rest pan but seems to be mechanically sound with one exception.
The steering is horrible. Probably the worst case of wander I have experienced on a power steering tractor. We have a local hydro shop here that has rebuilt some power steering cylinders for us in the past with good results so this cylinder will be headed their way ASAP.
I have a lot to learn about this series of tractors and the loader as both are a first for me but I am looking forward to it. I need to get some manuals and start studying.
I did add a little old IH to it today by adding a set of wheel weights that I had lying around.
Here are the pics.

Welcome to 3K club lol. Nice tractor. Check where steering cyl mounts to frame it's probably loose and causing some of your steering issues. Also with the weight of the loader your steering cyl life if probably greatly reduced. Might just be time for a new one.
Several of us have gotten into these tractors and will be glad to help.
Again. Congrats!

Cub Cadet, John Deere, New Holland, bobcat, Chevrolet, and Harley Davidson just a few brands I'm proud to own.

Bbbaker, thank you for mentioning this. The ball joints and cylinder bracket were loose. I tightened them and the steering is much improved.bbaker wrote:Welcome to 3K club lol. Nice tractor. Thanks dag. I wil take some pictures as soon as we get started building. I have lost most of the summer dealing with storm water management permits. More hassle with that than the actual building permits. Good things take time I guess. I hope the wife is distracted by HER new house and doesn't notice MY new cub shop being built alongside.dag1450 wrote:Cool! That should b real helpful...and fun!

Oh man!! How bout it! Building the project is the easy part anymore. Swm and conservation district r pia. I normally schedule a meeting right away....ask them what they looking for......then u don't waste too much time. Engineering firms that work for townships can really dag there feet and sometimes charge by the hour for review. I guess it what u call a "racket". What r they making u do... seepage pits, rain garden? Or just creative grading? Make sure u abide by the "BMPs" !
