Magnum 18 crankshaft seals
So while building the mag 20 I installed a Magnum 18 in my 2072 chassis. It ran great all last summer till it started leaking oil in the fall. Last week with the nice weather I knew it had to b done. So I did it. Its back in and running. It was obvious it had been leaking for some time....Like a long time as the engine was funky with gunky. It was the baked on variety. Cleaned the engine to where u could almost eat off it. Fixed the starter wire. Lubed the starter with pine wood derby graphite. Cleaned pto. Cleaned tins. Cleaned flywheel. New plugs and fuel line.

Pto seal I removed with a single screw driver it was that loose. The flywheel I made little picks out of some hard wire

The real question is how does the 20 Run in the 2072? You did leave the 18 as the spare right?

Well Joe....Your getting as bad as some other guys I know.... Asking too many questions
No I didn't start the 20 yet.
I will try to explain what I'm going to do.
My main mower was a 2072 that is a real work horse but not overly pretty. I have a really nice 1872...Like very nice. I'm just swapping engines. 1872s don't bring near the money a 20 does. So I think I will mow this year with the 18 then sell because I need to free up some space. Or I will keep...Idk. I hate selling stuff....
