Another 3240 or is it?

Post by JMotuzick »

After 5 months on/off I basicly finshed dads 3240 in clone... it's a 3225 I picked up last fall, carb work, heads, fly wheel magnets, stator. A good fluid change, new sheet metal, new seat.... dad should be happy as long as it doesn't brake down.

Good job. I hope he gets some enjoyment from your labor. I like your work table lift!

My father is never happy! I picked up this 3225 so I could get my 3240 back! He kept it last year as I was busy moving. He always had a old 100, when the PTO went bad and I never fixed it he started using my 3240 that I was storing there. He fell in love with the POSI and big 54" deck. I found this one not running, and a huge rot hole in the deck... once The snow melts and I can get to the shed at his place I'll bring both 100/3240 to my place for a once over. The deck on my 3240 will go on this one. Thus new blades so the deck can just stay at his place!

The lift bench is great! I bought it about 10 years ago now. I was single and had enough extra cash! It was about $800 but my back loves when I use it! Not so good for parting one out but get for the 100's PTO work and the 3240 service work!

Next up 3204 that I bought in pieces. The engine will come out for head gaskets and the coils to be put back on. A general tune up and off for sale!

Joe that clone is looking good and I need to find a surgery table like that also. I bet your dad will be a happy camper now that he has his own 3k machine.

Hey Joe.... Maybe u could post some pics of your table in "tools" or right here...Idc. I'm thinking if I could build one...Or find a used one. Does it have a built in ramp or do u make your own? All electric or over hydraulic? My pop was given a "mo Jack" from a neighbor that was moving....It's "el lame o"

Ill try to get you some pictures tomorrow. or just google "handy air lift" its all air operated good for 1000lbs. I have 2 12" extensions so its 48" wide overall. I think its 84" wide but i'm not sure. It runs on shop air no hydraulic no pumps motor etc. no electric either. Just a piston lines and a foot valve. There is a safety latch to keep the bench at about 5 different heights. I like to keep it about half way for most top end work and all the way up when I want to change a hydro filter on the bottom! Its a pain to store so i use it as the center point in my shop area! right now i pulled in a 44C deck for surgery before the spring comes and i need to cut! hoping to have the 3204 on the bench before the end of the weekend!
