Too far gone to save.

This is where we can discuss all the stuff made after IH's sale to MTD.

Too far gone to save.

Post by A.W.Gonya »

Too far gone to save, but not too far to give up some much needed parts.

You have to wonder how a tractor that originally cost several thousand dollars could end up in a scrap yard, for about an hour anyhow.

Now much of it will go towards returning this IH built 682/782 frame to use.

Sadly it must have ended it's working life due to a loss of oil, probably a leaking rear main seal, and a failure to check the oil level.

What AW said... I'll never get over how people can spend this much money on something like this new and just ruin it, until it's ruin't! Ruin't, Ruin't!

Then people like us come along and put some of them back together... ;)

Ha! Now that is some serious overthinking there by dag! Makes it even funnier!!

Think rural hillbilly redneck (like me, and BM apparently!)... Ruined, as an adverb = Ruin't

"dag can't paint for crap, so the deck is ruin't!"
"dag tried to make a part out of wood again, so of course it's ruin't."
(It's bad form to try to use as a verb...)

Ruin't, Ruin't! = Really, Really Ruin't!

Star Trek!!! Bwahahahah!

BM, you can tag in here anytime you like!

As usual Tom hit the nail on the head.
Me a redneck?.....only when I drink sweet tea with my pinky sticking out. If it wasn't for Linda I would have spill over shop in the basement and project parts in the living room.

Anyhow, I wen't up to Toledo to pick up a 682 rear end and ended up with an IH built 682 roller.

Than I found out that these frames are pretty early in 82 series production. (I'm d]told it started at #665001 and one of these is 665634) Now I have to build tractors out of both of them.
