2082 no start after 18 hp engine swap

PTO went out on my 2082 and starter has acted up since I changed it so I decided to pull the motor out of my 1882 mower that the hydro went out on last year. Got the swap finished today but it won't run. I did notice the 2082 engine had an extra wire on the positive starter post which the 1882 didn't all help and info appreciated greatly TIA Ken in PA

Thanks,Steve I think maybe the problem is the 1882 engine is out of a low serial # 314469 tractor? All info I find is for 800000 and up Thanks again

314xxx would make it a Narrow Frame. I’m guessing the s/n is 814xxx. With out looking at the schematic they should have the same wiring....

When you say no start, does it turn over or not?
Both tractors use the same harness, according to this wiring diagram, so here is what I have for you.

Thanks Lewis Got it running it was a carb issue from setting Then had a pulley issue. Tomorrow I have to find out where the hydro is leaking from-oil all over the floor after mowing and setting overnight
