Snow blade on 1440.

I got my 1440 running. Thanks to everyone that had input. I mounted a snow blade from a 1200 type tractor on my 1440. The 1440 is supposed to be about 100 pounds heavier. It mounted right on in the same place as it did on the 1200. The only thing I had to do was weld a tab on the lift laver. I used 3/8 steel and tig welded it on very easily. The same lift rod even fit. I have detail pics if anyone is interested. I also put an additional spring from the blade lift arm to the Frankenstien bolt with a fabbed bracket. It now goes up and down with VERY LITTLE effort. Much better than the effort it took on the 1200. I am now anxious to use it. I guess I can wait until next winter at this point. LOL Overall this was very much easier than I thought it would be.

Nice job! How about a zoomed out pic of the whole setup. Good idea on the spring too.

Thanks. It was pretty easy overall. The blade/frame went right on just as it would have on a 1200 or 1250. The bracket was just cut drilled and welded to the existing handle once it was removed and cleaned for welding. I jammed a big screw driver in to hold the return spring from going back too far. I am attaching a pic of the overall.
