Well, here I am again asking for your input. My Tank has begun to sputter and die when I engage the PTO, sometimes I can mow a few feet before it dies. I pulled the plugs and cleaned and regapped them, now the engine races. I did run over a Flat soaker hose but I got all of that cut out. I have mowed twice since then with no problems. Wondering if I need to pull the shroud and check for mouse nests , as it sits in a very old, open barn.
Also thought the safety switch may be faulty. It seems to work when I lift my rear off the seat , the engine dies. It has been starting hard for awhile...couple years.Took it to Cub Dealer for a tune up last spring and to fix my brakes. The lever was so tight after that, it snapped a thin cable from something inside near the brake lever.
It has a Kawasaki FX 850 V , 27 HP.

UPDATE: Did a compete tune up, cleaned all around with blow gun., and poured Seafoam in my gas tank. Fires right up, engage PTO , no bog down no rough idle, no dying. RUNS LIKE A TOP.

Good to hear, I hate it when my Tank doesn't run right. Hard to fight in battles with it running poorly...
