1872 freshen up update

Finished up the 1872 last weekend. Runs very well, man what a difference the electric fuel pump makes. You touch the key and it’s running! I’m glad I didn’t give up on it. I was a little apprehensive about digging into this engine but couldn’t be happier with it

Hey that's great. I think worn valves are a huge issue on these old engines. After seeing what guys go through to repower with an aftermarket engines..a refresh was the way to go.
127, 1650, 1572, 1872, 2072 . A mower, blower and blade for each.

Yes valves probably contributed to hard starting. If the bottom end was loose I probably would have went another way. Time to start looking at the 782 it’s pretty rough but worthy
