I broke 2 tractors today!

Post by Willy »

So today I was on snow removal duty using the 1782 when the brass nut on a compression fitting for the hydraulic line coming from the pump split open and started spewing fluid all over the tractor and ground.

I was down the street plowing a neighbors driveway when it happened so by the time I got home I had pretty much spewed 30.00 worth of HyTran all over the ground, uguh!

No problem I tell myself, I'll just break out the 1811 with the thrower on it and finish it up. Ha, what was I thinking... I went to start it and it went something like this: Rrrrr, Rrrrrr, Rrrrrr, CHUNK. It locked up solid. I'm hoping that the float stuck and filled the cylinder full of gas, but it sounded really really bad when it stopped rotating.

I'm glad today is over...
