I was wondering, did the 149 come with a black axle?

No...either someone painted it or it's a CCC replacement axle.

Scott,
Does it have 1" or 3/4" spindles? If it has 1" someone probably swapped the whole unit from an 82 series.

do these break you ask right now the biggest parts we are selling is front axle parts and castings we sold prolly 4 or 5 front castings or whole units in the last month and lots of spindles so yes and we are glad they do :shock:
