Nope... Nothing fancy! Not sure why that pic is in there.....It looks like it should do something....
The main dash panel is to the right of the seat, that's where gauges, warning lights and switches r. I added a neat little gadget a couple yrs ago....It tells the time, charging voltage, and outside AND inside temps. Oh...And I can change the colors of the whole display.....That is the best part!

Got about 15" of the wind blown type from about 5 am to 5pm last night. The pick up did good but it did get stuck a couple times. That's the joy of having a second to pull yourself out with! Lost power when a tree at the end of the street took out some lines. Not a bad storm getting ready for 5" more tonight!

Yeah Joe, you guys sure were in the thick of it all right. More to come this weekend!
I'm pleased to report to any naysayers that my redneck tire chain repair is holding very nicely.
The only king of ground engaging I'm going to be doing out there is on a seat. I'm the guy that reworks all those defective brand new jet engine parts. Look up in the sky. Pray.

Ken
Your something else!
Well only a inch out there this morning! I did the deck and walks. Before breakfast on the morning pull run... headed out in a few to scrape off the drive way. Then call in and light up a pile of brush, finally enough snow on the ground to keep it contained!

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
I guess everyone is to busy plowing or fixing the brake downs to send pics!
We had 7 oaks taken down in November, here go some of the tops! I'll chip the rest but it was just to much to chip all at once and we decided to just make this pile.... it's just ashes now, with another 6-12 coming today/tonight I'm sure they will be gone in a few hours!

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
It started here just before 11AM. I took some passes at the drive to help the Wife make it up to the top and to stay ahead of the curve.
It's February and I'm running out of room. Again. Nothing new there.
Cleared away the leftover highway department stuff while down at the bottom. Actually, they rolled through here pretty early this time.
The big plow will be coming back in for this one. It's February and I'm running out of room. Again. Nothing new there.

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
Now that is what I call a proper snowstorm. I did not measure but is was at least a foot. The winds are beginning to pick up and some drifting is beginning.
Sorry that there are no action shots as I was alone at the time.
The star of the show today was the 126, it did everything that I asked and then some. I was very pleased in the way it was running. The 102 finished off the mop up work. I really cut back from previous storms and all that stuff was really hardened up. I was getting short on room. It never complained at all. The 102 needed a place to park so I trenched one out. There was a lot of blow back going on no matter what way I had the chute pointed, and I looked like the machine by the time I was done. Here's the 102 back in it's little nest- That was a lot of fun to do, at least it was not below 20 degrees, not so much so then

Ken looks good!
You and Paul both need a attached garage for the snow duty....
The truck did good again!
I took the 3205 out to play a bit last night, broke 2 shear pins and only went a small distance... spun out too I guess 150lbs isn't enough!
When it threw it worked great thou!

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
Well, the driveway today claimed it's first casualty for the season. Heavy wet snow about four inches fell just before it was time for me to head out to work. Wife tried making a run up in the TrailBlazer and got sideways. I was able to get it turned around and down to the bottom safely. Told her to call the snow plow guy, I don't have time for this, I have to go to work. He says I'm busy can't come over right now. Park it as far as possible over to one side ( the bottom is over fifty feet wide) and head off to work. So slippery that I can't even stand without taking a dive. Go to work, neighbor comes along in her Rav4, gets halfway up, starts sliding down backwards and takes out the whole right side of Wife's truck. Wife calls the police and they say we are too busy now-deal with it yourselves. Looks like I'm heading to the insurance agent in the morning, I just changed my insurance carrier about 26 days ago. Oh boy, here we go.

I'm sorry to here ! Good luck and watch very carefully your Insurance policy they try to get things over on everybody…

You need a detached work shop for all those! The snow team needs a warm dry spot that is easy for the oporator to get to!

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
I was doing just fine with this Winter till that little event came along. The really lame thing about it all was if I had only taken 3 or 4 quickie passes instead of skipping off this one time the whole thing would never have happened. The party involved has assumed responsibility. It will be going in for the bodywork estimate Monday morning and a loaner has been arranged, It has only 61 thousand miles on it with the major service just done last September so I'm not about to let them total it out. That storm took everyone totally by surprise with fender benders everywhere, just North of us they got 8 inches in just over 2 hours.
There's supposed to be a bit of a warm up today, maybe that will get some gravel showing. I have no room left for the snow much less a shed, not without blasting rock.

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
I found the problem.
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Actually, it was a pretty easy repair by letting the air out of the tire. I did not want anyone to think that I was not going to get around to fixing it.

Well the TrailBlazer is in the body shop. It is going to need a new front fender and a whole side respray. They think it may be done as early as Friday. In the meantime Wife will be banging around in this thing.

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
Well, that was pretty quick and painless.
Only an expert would be able to tell that the entire side had been slapped in. Those guys did the job right. Glad that I'm not the one stuck footing the bill
Looks like we are moving into mud season early this year.

Ken, good for you that a crappy event ended up less painful that it could have been. Everyday life is stressful enough, then these "special events" come by just to make things worse...

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
Tom, the whole thing was pretty painless and seamless. It could have been much worse, someone could have been hurt.
It was one of those long slow 4 MPH going down out of control backwards slides. Either my neighbor traded in or they have the car in the body shop, I'm not really sure, better to ask later, I think. The girl deserves a new car after that trauma, it was her birthday. The front fender got the worst of it, The door would not open without rubbing. It's pretty amazing how body work costs can add up though. That said I'm very satisfied with the repair. The body shop did a first rate job without cutting any corners. There was some light scratching on the front bumper. They could have blended the paint, they resprayed the whole front bumper. They could have masked off the glass and door handles. They took all the side glass and door handles and mirror off before painting. The truck was washed and detailed inside before release. I looked inside the shop at other vehicles, everything from them was on racks, and small parts were tagged and bagged. Now that's a proper repair!
90% of our snow is already gone since then and right now local flood warnings are in affect, the dirt roads are in terrible shape. I'd like to move the 102 now that I have some room again but I'm waiting for the ground to freeze back up first before I do. Where it's at right now is in plain sight of the road and I don't care for that.

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
Our buddy Vince loves to take the porta saw to the 1650's but I'm still amazed how hard they can work.
24" down and still snowing. I must have made 8 passes over the driveway so far. The 1811/450 goes out every few passes to toss the right side of the driveway into the woods.

Wow... Good job guys. I would say a bust here ....But Stella still made for lots of work. 4" of snow early...Then about 3" of ice crystals! Crazy...I can't really remember seeing this much ice. It moved like dry sand. I didn't want to mess around with the parking area and the small Cub blower. So I used the Kubota. I'm thinking I should look for chains for that.

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
Hey guys,
This is without a doubt the worst storm to clean up after this season. This snow is both very heavy and wet and there's a lot of it.
I did not even bother trying the thrower, wife cleaned the deck while I tackled the driveway. Yes, this is one night's worth of snow. Traction is being a huge issue, the top three inches of soil thawed out and I keep digging holes trying to push forward. The lawn is going to be a huge mess this Spring as the blade keeps digging down into the lawn. I'll be raking until May. Oh yeah, that's right it IS Spring, April fools

An inch of rain and a dusting of sleet this morning... it's all melted off already. Nowfor the rest of the snow banks to melt off and we can have spring!
