Re: 5/8 pto pulley
I forget...is the stock size 1/2"? Just wondering what is driving u for this change? Only thing I can imagine is belt slippage.....on what a snowblower? Tell me your not trying to mount a 450 on the 1650.....
Na...I'm just messing with you....but give us some background on this idea

Re: 5/8 pto pulley
Yeah stock size is 1/2" and yes I'm putting a 450 blower on it still have a few kinks to work out.......when I first turned the pto on with everything hooked up it threw the belt a few times but now it's staying on. It doesn't sit down in the 1/2" pulley very well so was thinking of going with a 5/8" clutch I know that route is expensive. Oh and what oil/ grease go in the gear boxes? Thanks

In the search bar....type 450 blower and see what comes up. I had a thread a couple yrs ago on the gear box.

Oh....a wise guy.....I like your style....
I don't know about the one two or three on the plastilube. I used a peerless gear case grease I'm pretty sure it was 00? Part number 788067c. So u will have to do your own research on that. But whatever u do....clean all the old out and install new fresh cause not all greases r compatible with each other.
Tom had a good write up on it....if u can sit for that long....
Ok... picture time.....

Yeah lol like to keep it interesting lol. I bought bentonite and plastilube one is grey and thinner forget which but thought one said temp range was 32-500 degree range figured it would need to be less than that for a snow blower? As for the pics I will hopefully get back to working on it this weekend and try to finish it up so pics should be up then

Re: 5/8 pto pulley
Ok.....it doesn't look as awkward as I thought it would. How does it steer? Those skinny front tires could help.....I guess. Good job!
