CCC 582 wiring question
I purchased a Yellow & white 582 with creeper yesterday. I assume due to the colors it's a CCC produced tractor. I have a red wire that's not connected to the solenoid. I found a diagram of the wiring harness on this site, but not sure which red wire I have that's disconnected. Anyone help me out so I don't burn the 582 to the ground?

Re: CCC 582 wiring question
Well it says ccc! If it was IH it would say Ih right on the tag yes, if it was yellow/white it would be mtd without a doubt. If it’s red you need to read the tag, Production changed at 700,000. 8k was the end of the 82’s/start of the Cyclops. I’d have to do some homework on the red wire....

Re: CCC 582 wiring question
CD , I'm suspicious of the newer looking red wire with the replacement yellow terminal . Is it possible that they added that wire later to replace the one that's not connected ? Maybe it got pinched or hot .The other end of that red wire goes to the charge indicator ( amp gauge ) and then to the key switch . My red 82 only has 4 wires going to the selinoid and mine doesn't have the tan wire going to ground where its mounted to the battery box like yours does . I'm sure that CCC added that to the later 582 models .
I see a lot of cub cadets while going down the tracks , its a shame I can't pull over and ask about them .

Thanks you Jlaws. Now I have an ending point to start with. I'll check the wiring harness this morning.
