I first thought maybe a corn grinder, but I have discarded that idea, although it may be correct.
Anyone know what it is ?

I believe I found an answer to the mystery; it is used mainly for cracking corn and grinding cobs, but can also grind cornmeal if need be.

Cool. I miss those old shows. I guess I just don't make the time to go. There is one local going on now.

I took some over 1800 photos that day; I am still wading through getting a handle on them and will be for some time; but then, I am somewhat more meticulous than the average bear.
About the feed grinder, looking down the mouth of that thing, I just didn't think it could grind grain; I had about decided it was for making apple sauce or somesuch.

Bear- the scrolls you see in the bottom force grain into the grinding plates, on the side above the nozzle. I'm certain that if you threw grapes, or meat, or your shoes in it, it'd come out the other side in much-smaller-parts than they started out as.
