hey guys, i have the opportunity to buy a 782D from a local farmer, tractor came from my dealer along time a go when they sold cub cadet, i haven't gone out and looked at it yet but im told it needs a throttle cable, is there anything special or unique about these red 782's. im really looking forward to adding another diesel to the line up. i will try get out to the farm and get some pictures for you guys

That sounds neat. I thought I heard somewhere that the throttle cable for the diesels are hard to find? I'm sure you know from your other smoker that it's not a standard cable. I'm not real familiar with the whole setup. Keep us posted!
127, 1650, 1572, 1872, 2072 . A mower, blower and blade for each.

ended up at the farm to look at his combine today and decided to take a few pictures. I'm really impressed with how this red cub looks, the hour meter i think works i can hear it ticking. looking forward to getting this one running!

I was almost certain that one of the 782D cables was no longer available. But looking at Messicks it seems like both may be still available.

Messicks`s and I have a love - hate relationship... On my Simplicity`s I would find the parts on their site that no one had and boy did I love that... then 3 weeks later I would get an e-mail with a credit statement saying the part was no longer available is where the hate came in. I would call ahead and speak to someone directly. Happened to me several times... It did not happen all of the time but when it did GRRRRRR.
