Here is something new
This is supposedly a brand new tread from Goodyear.
I just ordered up a pair of these in 27 x 8.5- 15 for my Crosley homemade tractor.
They come in 23 x 8.5- 12 and 26 x 12 -12 sizes as well.
But as a six ply tire they probably are too rigid for pulling applications. However folks are buying up a ton of these in the 8.5 size.
I'll post pics when I get them mounted up.

"too ridgid". Looks like a balloon tire for a moon rover or an ATV on the beach.
Ken have you been hiding this gem of a tractor from us?? I don't remember this in your lineup. The rear axle and seat looks super interesting....how about the rest?

And a chunk of railroad track in front of the seat mount?!? Is this some homemade beast to compete with the "Loader Mutt"?

Re: Here is something new
Tires are set in the pic to 32 pounds for the beads to positively seat and sealing compound to cure.
After a couple of days I will lower them down to 6 pounds or so.
It is an 8 ply tire so I'm not expecting a Cadillac ride

Ken has a home made Doodle bug tractor from
A crossly car. I believe a family friend built it back in the 60’s. Cool to see… I believe it does 40 or so MPH

Re: Here is something new
Joe you are spot on.
I stopped showing it following my spine injury in 2017.
It languished on the trailer all that time. Just recently I tossed in a battery and fresh gas. No spark but by filing the points it touched right off. Not too shabby. It drove off under it's own power with two helplessly rotted out 60 year old rear tires. Aside from new tires and a good cleaning up that is all it needed and is ready to go once more. I have been too busy to take it up the driveway and give it a good purging out.
The trailer did not fair so well and it's getting a top to bottom rebuild.
The floor was rotted and I'm lucky that when backing out that I did not punch through. The 1/2 flooring is being replaced by 3/4 ground contact. I have stained both sides of those sheets. One bearing hub got water contaminated. New bearings for that side and new seals for both. Tires and wheels are going to get replaced, they are over 20 years old. The wiring was a mess and what better time to straighten that out than when the floors are off. There are multiple welds on the sides that are cracked and need rework, one much more than the other.
Talk about opening up a can of worms, ugh. Too far into it to back off now. I'm going to have more cash into this thing then when it was new.

Here you go Dave.
I tossed the battery back in and gave her a couple of high speed passes up and down the driveway as a good enemata.
A sweet ride with those new rear tires, exactly what I was looking for!

I keep finding myself zooming in to "look around". It's like a cutaway display machine. I can see all the inner workings.

Re: Here is something new
On a closing note this project is finished and ready to show.
There were at least 20 substandard or broken welds on that trailer that had to be addressed, what a miserable affair in the blazing heat that was. The new floors are installed. And the new trailer tires and wheels are mounted.
All ready for the Hinsdale NH engine show next weekend!

Pretty unique, Ken. In fact, awesome. I am curious about the heavy casting behind the plow. Is that some type of rotator?

Re: Here is something new
This particular type of tire would be gaining in popularity quite quickly.
I went to a good sized county fair yesterday and many of the new machines on display of all variety are fitted with it.

I miss those old country fairs. I used to go every year to one growing up. The wrightstown grange fair. Did you show your tractor/car Ken?

Dave, I'll be showing and camping at Dublin, NH this year, Sept 6-8.
Charlie, yes, it is rotatable in three positions.
