This was last week and again Saturday.
Remember the old registry days when everyone set up their snow rigs a month in advance in hopes of snow and showed them off? I gave that up a couple years back when every blizzard forecast proved to be flurries. For that reason I watched about two inches come down before realizing I might have to clear some snow just to get out the rest of the week. Pulled the cab pieces from upstairs closet and dug the blade out and about an hour later was at it. We ended with close to 12" here, some of which was ice. Even had to go back and put the chains on it got so bad. Been 8 years for those I believe. Just like old times...

Thanks for posting! Looks like a great setup you have there! Hydraulics.....and a windbreaker, what more could a man ask for! Probably makes pushing snow about fun?

Re: Blast (of snow) from the Past
Kevin, the same happened for me a few weeks ago. We were supposed to get the "big one", around 12". I put on the 450 blower for the first time in years. The storm really did produce, but the big snow went south. I ended up using the blower on 3" that I could have easily pushed with the Haban blade which is always on the 1872.
You must be FLAT there! I couldn't imagine venturing out into any snow and ice without chains!
I took some pics, I'll try to make my self post in the usual "Winter snow pics" thread later.

Re: Blast (of snow) from the Past
Yes it's all flat here. Chains make all the difference in the world but I pushed a good 6" without until ice came down that night, then I couldn't get past the barn door without chains.
Now I won't say I haven't had to put it in creeper gear and get out and nudge it out a time or two without chains. And only thing to make it better would be my old QA36 with adjustable chute while never leaving cab but this is the first time in about 8 years I wish I still had it so probably not rushing out to buy another...
