782 snow / dozer blade
I started here, went across the street, and went around the block. I see no info on what number is the correct snow / dozer blade or the proper undercarriage of what will fit. did see something about 1200 or 1250 series by IH. can anyone tell what I need for the 782?

Should be a wide frame under carriage.
But what do I now, please read my disclaimer in my contract.

1250/1650/782 for a snow blade under carriage, they interchange.

there are 5 styles of snowblade mounts original spring trip,70 to 123 style, narrow frame quick tach, wide frame, and the last one is the late cyclops for the high axle in later plastic nose tractors

So are we safe in saying any undercarriages will work as long as it is a from WF IH series without any fabrication.

Yes, except the lift brackets are different. The x82 series has a slot and and takes a bigger lift rod as well. There might even be a wider and narrower lift bracket for mowers prior to the x82 series. I've seen wider and narrower ones both on WF blades.
From the first Original to the last x82 Series... you can't beat an IH Cub Cadet!!!

Re: 782 snow / dozer blade
Not 100% sure , but the subframe looks like a narrow frame mount Jim .
But the subframe could be changed over to a wideframe mount .

I see a lot of cub cadets while going down the tracks , its a shame I can't pull over and ask about them .

Re: 782 snow / dozer blade
How long should the lift rod be for a 782? Mine that I just got is 27" and too short. I think it was maybe for a 149 etc... I"m thinking around 30" or so but an accurate number would help. thanks

Adrian, I just checked my 782 and 1811. both are 44" blades and both lift rods are 30" overall length. Be glad to post pics if you need them.

Re: 782 snow / dozer blade
Sure looks like a narrow subframe to me ,but like others have said it can be changed very easy .I will try to post a pic of a wide frame one, you can see how the ends kick up on the wide ones .

Jim,
That one looks like a narrow frame,
I have seen some wide frames with the forks bent out, seems the P.O's thought they mounted to the outside of the frame.
You know,I was wondering the same thing,My 782 came with the correct lift bar and the slotted lift bracket, but it seems to lift the plow about 4" of the ground,I was going to get a nos one for my narrow and wide frame, but some guy from Ohio found my stash....cleaned the dealer out.

Re: 782 snow / dozer blade
Ok I got that Blade But not Happy for the tools and such that I have would not be feasible to re fab.pins turn to the inside and inch and a half too narrow
I do have a 3# hammer 2 Mig welders that I can't run either of them. some bailing wire, and a burnz amatic torch .
I don't think changing the sub frame would work either as the mounting plate for the up and down hinge looks wider at the front of the sub frame itself .
So it looks like I got either a chunk of trading stock or an expensive piece of scrap.

Re: 782 snow / dozer blade
The subframes are interchangeable between WF and NF. The blade part is the same.
