I better clairfly this just a bit more.... The farmall cub and cub cadet do share the same actual PTO. BUT you cant just take a pto out of a farmall cub and install it in a cub cadet the cub cadets where not provisioned from the factory to accept a pto... the "kit" to install one contained a replacement main shaft that had the drive portion needed for the pto. this is just fyi
Trying to save cubs... one at a time.......

So if i have a top shaft or main shaft i could use a rear
pto from a farmall cub.
I'm I correct in that.

Yes Howard but you won't have the correct part(#17) if it comes with the Cub PTO that goes through the case to engage it. That part is the same as the one used on the Original and the early narrow frames take a longer one and later ones are completely different as they use the different engagement lever.
Here is the Original Cub Cadet rear PTO parts
Image.
I think I have the PTO installation Manual and will post it in the Manual section.

Howard did you see the stabilization plate I posted for the Original :?:

Just start at the center of the plate and work to the edges to locate everything except the placement of the spacer plate.

Howard: I just posted the installation Manual in the Gallery

Geezer,
Hopefully this summer I'll be installing one on my 100 so those instructions should come in handy.
